ELEME LGA ADMINISTRATOR COMMITS TO STAFF WELFARE, TEAM WORK

Dr. MRS GLORIA OBO DIBIAH…. ADMINISTRATOR OF ELEME LGA

Staff of Eleme Local Government Area in Rivers State have been charged to take their duties and responsibilities seriously,not minding the physical state of the council offices because their services matter a lot in the development of the area.
This charge was given by the time Administrator of the LGA,Dr.Mrs.Gloria Obo Dibiah in her address to the staff on the World Labour Day,May 1,2025 at the Council Secretariat in Eleme.
Dr.Gloria Dibiah assured them that commitment to duty would be rewarded and that she would not delay payment of staff salaries and entitlements, noting that she trusted in their partnership in her bid to lift the LGA to the proper level it belongs in socio-economic development.
She empathized with them on the present state of the Council Secretariat and assured that she would do whatever she could to provide a more conducive working environment as soon as possible and warned everyone to stay apolitical in the discharge of their services in order to keep the area politically peaceful.
The Head, Local Government Administration (HLGA) of Eleme LGA,Mrs.Gonmiluk Sabina Nteile, expressed appreciation to the Administrator for recognizing one of the most important needs(office spaces)of council staff and pledged the commitment of staffers to duty and the focus of council under Mrs.Obo Dibiah’s leadership.
Earlier, the Branch Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees ( NULGE) in Eleme LGA,Hon.Comrade Minii Gospel had commended the responsiveness of the Administrator to the needs of council staff within her stay so far,adding that “your show of understanding is an appreciation for the services we(workers) render which lead to achieving organizational set goals,production of good, construction of tracks, buildings, factories,cities etc” and that “without the services of workers anywhere,there wouldn’t be one single product,both tangible and intangible outputs.”
On his part, chairman of the May Day celebration,Elder Isaac Saloka remarked the importance of workers in any given setting and that “society all over the world rests on the shoulders of the workers”,thus everyone should take the welfare of workers seriously to make for better productivity and a more progressive system.
Highlight of the occasion was the presentation of souvenirs to the Administrator,Mrs.Gloria Obo Dibiah by both NULGE Eleme and the management of Eleme LGA.
