OPM TRAINS CHILDREN, WIDOWS OF FALLEN HEROES ON DIFFERENT SKILLS

As part of it’s deliberate efforts to build the society through trainings and education, especially for the less privileged one’s, widows and orphans, the Omega Power Ministry Worldwide, has embarked on an intensive training on skill acquisition for the children and widows of the fallen heroes of the Nigerian Army.

The founder and the General Overseer of Omega Power Ministry ( OPM) worldwide, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere Gift, disclosed this in an interview with journalists at the OPM training centre, at its headquarters, Mbodo, Aluu, while receiving , Major- General Emmanuel Ejim- Emekah, General Officer Commanding 6 Division, Nigerian Army, Port Harcourt.

Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere said that the visit of Major – General Emmanuel Ejim-Emekah to OPM church was to see what the OPM Church is doing in the skill acquisition training of the Children and widows of the fallen heroes of the Nigerian Army, in the areas of ict, fashion and designing, tailoring, body cream, shoe making and soap, among others.

According to OPM General Oversear, the trainees are making serious progress, pointing out that things such as this kind of trainings occupies the minds of the trainees and making them to be self employed in future.

The Master philanthropist acknowledged the immense contributions of the Nigerian Army who risked their lives while protecting the people, the nation and those fighting the Boko Haram.
” The church need to give back to the society” he said.

” We will not only teach them skills, but will empower them after learning or acquiring the skills”

Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere opined that if the soldiers who are fighting for the nation and war realize that the church is doing something to help their love one’s, they will put in their best on defending the nation.

While Fielding questions on how long the training program had lasted, Apostle Chibuzor said that the skill acquisition training program has been on for over 15 years, beginning from Elekiahia, now at OPM headquarters, Mbodo Aluu.

On the sustainability of the skill acquisition training program, OPM General Overseer said that the training program is sustained through the offerings and and tithes from the church, adding that for more than 15 years now, the church has sustained the training program.

He said, ” instead of using the money to buy a private jet, let me use it to touch lives, that is why we have free school for the less privileged, free hospital where people come and take free medication”, adding that by next month, May, 2025, more than 60 persons will undergo free surgery at the place.

He posited that Nigerian Army has an allocation to bring some people that have surgery operation issue for a surgery.

” We have free Estate Where we give people that are homeless home, free restaurant where they feed the poor, have Overseer scholarship and local scholarship where people especially the less privileged benefited”, adding that all these are funded through the tithes and offerings and partners of the church.

Speaking on the security situation of Nigeria, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere Gift commended the Nigerian Army, compared to Sudan or some of the world countries, pointing out that with the pro- activeness and steps the OPM, church would serve as a motivational factor for the Nigerian Army to put in their best in serving the nation.

He noted that in the training program are Muslims as there is no discrimination and not only for Christians.
He said, ” when it is , 12 noon, they give them area to go and do their worship or prayer, they are free to do everything, that if everybody will do like the OPM, then we will live as one without discrimination ” he summed up.

The Man of God noted that one of the major problems in the country is religion, people divide Nigeria through religion through tribalism, ‘N0’ for goodness sake. ” If we can love our brothers and sisters, Nigeria will be better than America” he concluded.

Meanwhile, Major – General Emmanuel Ejim-Emekah, General Officer Commanding 6 Division, Nigerian Army, port Harcourt said he was in a working visit to OPM church to see what the General Overseer of OPM, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere Gift is doing in the areas of training skill acquisition program for the the children and widows of the fallen heroes of the Nigerian Army and expressed satisfaction.
