CHRIST RESURRECTION: CLERGY HARPS ON SACRIFICE BY CHURCHES, POLITICIANS.

A renowned Clergy and an outstanding philanthropist in Niger Delta and beyond, Apostle Eugene Egwuatu Ogu has stressed the need for leaders of various churches, denominations and politicians to make sacrifices, as a practical way of emulating the practices of our lord Jesus Christ who died and rose for mankind.

Apostle Eugene Egwuatu Ogu who is the founder and General Overseer of the Abundant Life Evangel Mission ( ALEM) stated this while speaking to newsmen in his office, to mark the celebration of Easter ( ie, the Death and Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ)

Apostle Ogu who is also the president Arm of Hope foundation said that Jesus came and died to safe man from sin on earth and crucified, but later resurrected.

Apostle Eugene Egwuatu Ogu maintained that Jesus Christ sacrificed himself for man, regretting that Man is unable to make sacrifices, rather talks so much without execution.

He said, ” Nigeria talk a lot, they don’t execute, church talk a lot, they don’t execute, until citizens begin to know that they have the right to execute citizen’s right and not to be held captive by the politicians.”Apostle Ogu said.

According to him, citizens have the right to protest, resist, say ” no”, regretting that the politicians are using the people, even as he opined that as Nigerians, people have the right to execute their citizen’s rights.

His words, ” Easter is a proof that Jesus resurrected from dead, Jesus died with sacrifice, does the church sacrifice for their members, does members sacrifice for their brothers, one another, does government sacrifice for the people, that is the essence of crucification”, Apostle Ogu summed up, adding that resurrection is the end result.

He enjoined people to always show proof wherever they find themselves, whether you are in government a leader, wherever you are, where is your proof, the man of God questions.

The Man of God who expressed anger over certain anomalies, averred that Rivers State is a victim of political maneuvering of the North and the West, regretting that they use the Sons and Daughters from the State as stooges, pointing out that the undoing of Rivers State is for the benefits of Lagos State.

He ask, ” Is Rivers State unsecured, Bayelsa, Akwa-Ibom, Imo, where , there is insecurity in the North, and no State of Emergency declared there “, adding that it is a political calculated mathematics to continue to keep all the oil companies in Lagos while the oil is here in Rivers state.

” We became tools in the name of parties, using us to enrich their place and tuning their place to a country of it’s own to the detriment of this state,” Ogu said.

He urged the Clergy, Politicians, without political parties to rise to the occasion, regretting that those in authority use the commoners to get what they want and thereafter give them a peanut, God will punish all the people who are punishing Rivers State” Ogu stressed.

Whether in any party or not, in Rivers State or not, Rivers state is suffering because of the foolishness of the people who leave here, he declared state of emergency because of pipeline, is pipeline under the watchful eyes of the Governor ‘No” adding that education infrastructure, health has deteriorated in Rivers state, regretting that Rivers state has all it takes to care for all the citizens.

On his advice for the people , Ogu said that they should act on the word of God.

” Let us act on our rights, constitutional rights, if government does what is not good, let us say it is not good without minding the political parties we belong “.

” Jesus resurrection is the action, it’s the practical theory of the Gospel, if there was no resurrection, everything Jesus did would have been useless hope does not come when people are doing nothing, we are doing nothing, until we come together, we are doing nothing, until we come together, we cannot do something, ” Apostle Ogu maintained.
