The General Overseer of the Christ the Life Bible International Church, Omanwa, Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State, Prophet E. S Okenna said that the resurrection of Jesus Christ is specifically for those who believe in him.
Prophet Okenna stated this in an interview with our reporter in his office at the Christ the Life Bible International Church headquarters, Omanwa, as part of his Easter celebration message to Christians and the society at large.
Prophet Okenna said, ” Easter simple means the resurrection of Christ our savior, saviour of those who believe in him, not those who are too political, people that rule the world are of the world, they are not of God,” he said.
According to the Man of God, politicians are not contented, they are not satisfied with what God has given to them, and so Jesus resurrected for those who believe in him, and those who work according to his commandments.
Okenna opined that Jesus Christ did not resurrect for those who does not know him, stressing that Christianity is of a choice, saying that some may bear the mark or name, but he or she knows that he is not a Christian.
Prophet Okenna further explained that the significance of the Easter celebration is a culture and a remembrance pointing out that it is a period of sober reflection of the death of Christ and it’s resurrection.
He used the season to advise those who do not believe in Christ to make a ‘U’ turn and believe in Christ and also come back to Jesus Christ, because, according to Okenna, Jesus is the finisher of our faith and as well the beginning and and the end, even as he enjoined people to stop pursuing the things of the world so that the world will not take their lives.
