The Paramount Ruler of Woji Community, His Royal Highness, Eze DR
Emeka Ihunwo JP, Paramount Ruler of Woji Community has waded into recent crisis that occurred in Woji Community and subsequently resolved same which has brought back peace in the community.
In a commendable act of leadership and diplomacy, the Paramount Ruler of Woji Community, His Royal Highness, Eze Amb. Emeka Ihunwo, has successfully resolved the ongoing crisis in the community Market, calling for lasting peace between the waring factions. The Pro-active Woji Monarch took swift action to meditate between the parties, urging them to set aside differences for the good of the community and foster a spirit of unity and collaboration.
Eze Ihunwo expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the Nigerian Police for their prompt response to the situation, ensuring the safety and security of the people. He also lauded the Woji Youth Council and the Chiefs for their unwavering commitment and active role in brokering peace, which has allowed the community market to regain it’s peace and stability.
The Monarch did not fail to acknowledge the significant contributions of leaders who have positively impacted the community.
He praised the former Chairman of Obio/ Akpor Local Government Area, Hon. Barr. George Aariolu for his contribution to education in Woji , particularly for building a new school in the area. Additionally, Eze Ihunwo also expressed gratitude to the Fct Minister and Former Governor of Rivers State, Chief Barr Nyesom Wike for his continued support and efforts in driving development to Woji and Obio/ Akpor area, making the community a more prosperous place for all.
The Paramount ruler’s call for peace and Unity within the the community resonated with local leaders and residents, setting the stage for a harmonious future for the people of Woji.
Also speaking, Chairman of Ahia Woji Market, Mr Lucky Nwarie said, ” Iam deeply grateful to His Royal Highness, Eze Amb Emeka Ihunwo JP , for his swift intervention in bringing peace to the market, ” he stated, pointing out that the Market is the heart of Woji, and that peace is essential for the well-being of all our traders and residents, he summed up.
He used the medium to commend the Nigerian Police for for their quick response, while commending the efforts of the Woji Youth Council and Chiefs for their tireless work in restoring peace.
” We are now more committed than ever to ensuring that Woji remains a place of progress, cooperation, and prosperity for all, ” he stated.
In his contribution, the Divisional Police Officer( DPO) Mr. Peace Ibekwe said,” As the Divisional Police Officer for the area, i am proud of the role the police played in restoring calm to Woji, we understand that our duty is not only to enforce the law , but also to serve as a mediator and peacekeeper in times of crisis. ”
He commended His Royal Highness, Eze Amb Emeka Ihunwo for his leadership and wise counsel during the period. Our officers will continue to work closely with the community and ensure that law and order prevail, fostering an environment where everyone can live and work in peace.
