The gloves are off!
In a no-holds-barred press conference, FCT Minister Nyesom Wike tore into Rivers State Governor Sim Fubara, exposing a scandalous cocktail of illegal budgeting, defiance of court orders, and total disregard for democracy.
The Supreme Court has now stepped in, slamming the brakes on all funds to Rivers State — ordering the CBN and Accountant General to freeze the accounts until Fubara obeys the law and submits a proper budget to the legit 27-member House of Assembly.
Wike Goes Nuclear
“No budget, no money! You cannot run a state like your personal kingdom. Enough of this madness!” Wike thundered.
He didn’t stop there — Fubara’s illegal local government elections? Exposed. His defiance of court orders? Dragged. His attempt to erase the Assembly? Shattered by the Supreme Court.
Atiku & Bala Mohammed Called Out
Wike also fired direct shots at Atiku Abubakar and PDP Governors Forum Chair Bala Mohammed for cheering on Fubara’s lawlessness.
“You praised him before — will you clap for him now that the Supreme Court has humbled him?” Wike asked with a smirk.
27 Lawmakers Reinstated — Game Over for Fubara’s Solo Show
The court didn’t just block the money — it ordered the immediate return of the 27 lawmakers Fubara thought he could sack.
“This is a warning to every politician in Nigeria — democracy is not a one-man show! You cannot silence a whole Assembly because you want absolute power. Nigeria is not a banana republic!” Wike declared.
The Final Verdict
“No valid budget, no legal assembly, no funds — Fubara’s government is running on vibes and impunity. Not anymore. The Supreme Court has spoken. Case closed!”
