EZE GRANT OFFOR
No fewer than 75 persons benefited from Eze Grant Offor empowerment programe on the 2nd of february, 2025.
The epocmaking and well attended event took place at the St. Martins Anglican Church field ,Omagwa,in. Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The ceremony follows the graduation of over 70 young girls and women from Omagwa community in various skills, especially in the areas of catering, make-up and Gale, Arts and print,fashion and Design, Hair Dressing and Cosmetology among others.
Speaking at the graduation, Chairman of the occasion and President, African Barr Association, High Chief Abrahim Eddy Mark, commended Eze Engr. Grant Offor for the various Empowerment programs for Ikwerre Ethnic Nationality and Rivers State at large.
High Chief Eddy Mark said that what Eze Grant Offor is doing to engage Ikwerre youths through his empowerment programmes worths commendable, noting that Ikwerre people , especially Omagwa community should be proud that they have a son whom God has blessed to bless others.
According to High Chief Eddy Mark, what Eze Grant Offor is doing is a challenge to other Ikwerre sons to emulate what Chief Grant Offor is doing, including himself.
He used the opportunity to enjoin the beneficiaries to ensure that they make the good use of the equipments and items donated to them by Eze Grant Offor, in order to also impact positively on others.
Earlier, the facilitator of the Batch B, students of E- Empowerment , Amb. Evang. Gennivive Ezeoha, said that she had a vision that Omagwa women and girls needs to be empowered through trainings in various skills in order to be self reliance.
” I had a vision that Omagwa women needs to be empowered through training in different skills to be self reliance ,hence, the need to partner with Eze Grant Offor who provided the resources for the training of Omagwa girls and women”, she summed up.
According to Gennivive, the essence is to change the narrative of expecting the government for intervention, pointing out that the graduants today, would use their resources to make positive impact on the society.
In his speech, Chairman, Ikwerre Local Government Council, Hon. Barr. Isreal Abosi,while commending the giant strides by Eze Grant Ofor, by empowering several youths in Ikwerre, said that it was a challenge to them in government.
He posited that in no distant time, the Ikwerre Local Government Council would reciprocate what Eze Grant Offor has done for the people of the area.
The Donor, Eze Chief Grant Offor, while presenting various machines. equipments and other items to the beneficiaries, charged them to utilize whatever that is given to them judiciously.
Eze Offor said that the essence of providing the training and equipment to the graduants is to equip individuals to overcome hardship, pointing out that his concern is for the people to gave access to education, vocational training for self reliance.
He commended the beneficiaries for their patient during the training programe and enjoined them to make good use of whatever that was given to them.
The event featured among other things, the presentation of certificates to the graduants and award to the best graduating student.
It also featured G- Empowerment posthumouse Award in honour of Late Mrs Patients Yardley Offor, Mother of Eze Grant Offor , Drama Sketch by the graduants and award by the West African Beauty Festival( WABF) Award to the best make – up student
Meanwhile, there was another special investiture/ award of Excellence to Eze Chief Grant Offor by the Ikwerre Media Practitioner’s Association of Nigeria( IMPAN) as an outstanding Ikwerre philanthropist man of the year.
This is sequel to Grants unwavering support to the people of Ikwerre through the initiative of his various empowerment schemes that has benefited a good number of Ikwerre people in particular and Rivers state at large.
The event was graced by eminent personalities that came from far and near, including ,the Archdeacon of Ikwerre Archdeaconry, HRH, Eze Achinike Amadi, Nye- Nwe- Eli, Omagwa, Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area,Hon. Barr. Isreal Abosi, among others.
