FUBARA APPOINTS CHRISTOPHER GREEN AS ATTORNEY-GENERAL IN CABINET RESHUFFLE

 

The Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has approved a minor reshuffle of the State Executive Council, leading to the redeployment of Barrister Christopher Green as the Honourable Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice.

Barrister Green, who until now served as Commissioner for Sports, will assume his new responsibilities with immediate effect.

The development was contained in an official statement issued by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information and Communications, Dr. Honour Sirawoo.

According to the statement, Barrister Green will continue to oversee and coordinate the activities of the Ministry of Sports pending the appointment of a substantive commissioner to head the ministry.

The decision, approved at the last State Executive Council meeting for 2025, underscores Governor Fubara’s commitment to strengthening governance, ensuring seamless service delivery, and enhancing the efficiency of key ministries in Rivers State.
