The Deputy Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly and Member representing Gokana Constituency, Rt. Hon. Dumle Maol, has distributed bags of rice and cash donations to his constituents as part of activities marking the Christmas and New Year celebrations.
The distribution exercise, which took place at the constituency office located at Mogho Junction in Gokana Local Government Area, was aimed at supporting residents and easing the prevailing economic hardship during the festive season.
Beneficiaries drawn from various communities across the constituency expressed appreciation for the gesture, describing it as timely and reflective of the lawmaker’s commitment to the welfare of his people.
In a related development, Rt. Hon. Maol is also sponsoring an ongoing football competition within the constituency. The initiative is designed to discover and nurture young sporting talents, promote unity, and encourage youth
engagement as part of efforts toward the overall social and human capital development of Gokana Constituency, 1.
The Deputy Speaker reaffirmed his commitment to initiatives that positively impact the lives of his constituents, particularly in the areas of youth empowerment, sports development, and social welfare.
