The Chairmanship candidate of Etche Local Government Area of Rivers State, under the platform of the All Progressive Congress ( APC) Hon. Chima Boniface Njoku said that his Administration would be purely local, with concentration on the people at the grassroot.
Hon Chima stated this at the political campaign rally at Okehi, headquarters of local government, when his campaign train stormed Okehi on Thursday August 21st, 2025.
The Etche APC chairmanship candidate , who was highly welcomed, and well received by his people assured the people of Etche that he would put smiles on the faces of the people by embarking on meaningful and people’s oriented projects that would have direct bearing on the people of Etche.
According to Chima,his administration would not entertain any pressure by those who are highly educated in the area, especially those with Masters degree, PhD and professors, insisting that Indigenes who falls under the categories should seek employment at the various tertiary institutions in the state, such as the University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State University, Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Rumuolumeni, and Elechi Amadi polytechnic.
Hon. Said, ” let me tell Etche people, my administration is for the local, local people, because, we are local government, and will concentration on the local people, those with big certificates should go to university and look for work, ” Chima summed up.
The Chairmanship choice of Etche people maintained that, though he would attend to everybody’s needs in Etche, but human capital and Infrastructural development remain his watchword.
Chima , who commended his boss, and political mentor, Chief Ephraim Nwuzi for not only bringing development projects in Etche local government, but has empowered a lot of Etche Indigenes in various ways, including fixing some of them into positions of authority.
Chima affirmed that ordinarily, he wouldn’t have smelt being the Chairmanship candidate in Etche local government area, if not with the influence of his political godfather, Chief Hon. Ephraim Nwuzi.
He assured the people of Etche that being a product of a political school of thought of Chief Ephraim Nwuzi who has transformed Etche, pointing out that he would follow the development footsteps of his mentor, Chief Ephraim Nwuzi.
He expressed gratitude to the good people of Etche for coming out in their large numbers to support his campaign in the area, and assured that he would not let them down.
He used the opportunity to appeal to the youths in Etche who carry guns, and indulge in cultism , and other vices to desist and support his administration, because, he would focus on youth empowerment, and other skills that would benefit the grassroot.
