OKOCHA ASSURES PEACEFUL CONDUCT Of LG ELECTIONS.

The state chairman of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Chief sir Tony Okocha has assured a violence free during the August 30,2025 local government election.

Hon. Okocha stated at the official flag off campaigns for the local government council elections, scheduled for 30th August, 2025.

Chief Okocha recalled that APC did not participate in the last local government election because, it did not do the right thing, pointing out that his party, the APC will fully participate for the local government election, because, Rivers State independent electoral commission followed due process.

His words, ” Today, we are bold, we are excited to stand by you and tell you that the processes are right, the processes put in place by RSIEC are right, and we are here to support and to follow these processes”, Okocha said.

“Our people have been screened, our people have been declared candidates as chairmen, and councilors.

Okocha used the opportunity to congratulate the Chairmen -elect and their deputies as well as the councilors -elect .

Sir Okocha recalled that the party primaries conducted by the All Progressive Congress were in order, pointing out that there was no fight during the party primaries as an organized political party.

He posted that APC will not only contest the election, but will Contest and win the 23 local government areas and 319 wards in Rivers State.

Also speaking, Vice-chairman, south south, All Progressive Congress, Chief Victor Giadom Noted that APC in Rivers State is ready to deliver the dividends of democracy.

Giadom who was represented by Senator Magnus Abe, commended the state Chairman of All Progressive Congress, Tony Okocha for leading the party well.

In her speech, Maureen Tamuno expressed happiness that women were given the opportunity to become vice-Chairmen in the 23 local government areas.

Other speakers such as Worgu Boms, Chidi Whihioka, Innocent Barikor, and Senator Barry Mpigi , among others, commended Tony Okocha for reviving, uniting, and taking the party far, even as they also congratulated the local government chairmen for emerging as flag bearers for the August 30,2025 local government elections.
