Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has dismissed two Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) after separate investigative panels found them guilty of misconduct.
According to the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Farouk, one aide was implicated in facilitating the controversial bail of suspected drug dealer, Sulaiman Aminu Danwawu, while the other was found to have diverted palliative food items intended for vulnerable residents.
In the same statement, the government cleared Musa Ado Tsamiya, Special Adviser on Drainage, of all allegations after an investigative committee declared him innocent.
Governor Yusuf reiterated his administration’s commitment to discipline, transparency, and zero tolerance for corruption, warning public officials to maintain the highest ethical standards in both their official and private dealings.
The statement also cautioned the public against engaging the dismissed aides on any matters relating to the state government, stressing that anyone who does so does so at their own risk.
This development comes days after the State Commissioner for Transportation, Ibrahim Namadi, resigned following his own indictment over the role he allegedly played in securing bail for Danwawu.
