DEMOCRACY DAY : EZE WORLU WODO SUE FOR PEACE IN RIVERS STATE

As Nigeria celebrate Democracy Day on June 12, Chairman, Rivers State Council of Traditional Rulers, HRM, Eze, Chike Anderson Amadi- Worlu-Wodo, Eze Oha Apara of Apara Kingdom has sued for peace and Unity of the state.

Eze Worlu-Wodo stated this in his message on the celebration of democracy Day ( June 12) , while speaking to journalists in his palace at Ekinigbo, Rumuigbo, Obio/ Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State.

Eze Worlu-Wodo said that there should be peace in Rivers, because, Rivers State has come to stay, pointing out that all politicians and leaders, including the stakeholders in the state should have it at the back of their minds that peace is priceless.

” We need peace in Rivers State, no body should take the state backward, the state should move forward” , Eze Worlu-Wodo summed up.

On his message to Political Leaders, the Eze Oha Apara opined that everybody’s right in the state has to be respected, saying that people have their human rights to function, even as he stated that Rivers State is not for an individual, but for the people of Rivers State.

The Chairman Rivers State traditional rulers Council said that whatever we are doing, ,we should make sure that people’s rights are not trampled.

His words, ” whatever we are doing, we should make sure that people’s rights are not trampled, we should recognize that we are people of Rivers State and we should have right to leave in the state in peace”, he said.

On the lifting of the suspension of Governor Siminalayi Fubara by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Eze Apara monarch said that Nigeria should understand that the Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, was an elected Governor, Constitutionally , saying that whatever happens, people should not loose sight of that, pointing out that Sim was an elected Governor of Rivers State by the people of Rivers State, and so whatever that is happening everybody should bear that in mind.
