As part of its monthly program towards impacting positively on the lives of it’s church members through gifts and other assistance, gateway international church has reiterated it’s unwavering commitment to the welfare gateway church members.
As a caring and most friendly church in the Niger Delta Region and beyond, gateway international church has through the benevolence department of the church changed life situations of some church members who are in need as well as widows and orphans, including business men and women and students, by giving them some form of support or the other.
The church in it’s May benevolence, rolled out different gifts items like food stuffs, cash and cheques for may beneficiaries of gateway international church.
Announcing the names of beneficiaries for the month of May, 2025,at the gateway international church Alter of mercy ground, Headquarters Elioparanwo Executive Pastor Mathew Ogaren, said that the beneficiaries for May, 2025, were drawn from different groups and zones in gateway international church, comprising, Emerald group, Sapphire, Onyx, Citrine, Riby and Silver groups.
According to Executive Pastor Mathew Ogaren, some of the beneficiaries were given food items to support their families.
He said that the benevolence was graciously sponsored and approved by the Lead Pastor George Izunwa, pointing out that gateway church benevolence is a monthly program organized by the church to reach out to it’s members who are in need.
He affirmed that the program runs in different categories to capture the expected targeted beneficiaries meant for the benevolence.
In a similar development, Pastor Joseph George Ajueshi from the Pastoral Care Department of the Office of the Lead Pastor George Izunwa who took over the second phase of the benevolence, said that in the business category, six persons from different zones in gateway applied for financial support and it was approved by the Lead Pastor George Izunwa.
Pastor Joseph George Ajueshi said that the beneficiaries for the business support came from Diobu Mile 4 zone, Iwofe zone, Ogbogoro Zone, among others.
Ajueshi who is the Pastoral Head, Director, Pastoral Care and Business Unit, under the Pastoral Care of the office of the Lead Pastor George Izunwa is a man with large heart.
Speaking further, Pastor Joseph George Ajueshi opined that a lot of people in church needs help and so gateway church structured a way to help those who are in need.
Ajueshi reiterated the determination of gateway international church to give benevolence of food items, such as rice, including cash and cheques to support members who are in to business, but are having financial challenges.
” He said, some, from month to month, week to week are having some health challenges and the Lead Pastor George Izunwa takes care of the medical bills, which runs in hundreds of thousands”,he summed up.
Ajueshi noted that the idea behind gateway church benevolence is to bring succour to the needy, pointing out that if the church leave or abandon them, it could result to something else.
He posited that the church benevolence is a regular monthly program structured by gateway international church to attend to some members who are in need.
On how the church generates funds for the monthly benevolence program, Ajueshi said that the money is from the church offerings, stressing the need to give back to the society.
He used the medium to advise the beneficiaries, especially those in the business category to avail themselves of the opportunity of gateway business academy where business, in-service courses are available to train people who are into business.
While advising them for the judicious use of the funds, because it is God’s money, Ajueshi averred that the whole essence is to help them grow in business.
He stressed the need for them to go for refreshal course and also for them to have mentorship that would put them through so that their businesses can grow from strength to strength.
Meanwhile, as part of the activities marking the family month of May, 2025, gateway international church witnessed series of activities in the month of May, 2025, which includes, participating in the cooking competition, march past, eating competition, Egg race, football match among other activities, with award of prizes to winners of the competition.
There were also Marriage Blessings of four couples, Rededication of marriage rings and vows by the Lead Pastor George Izunwa and Babies dedication of Twelve ( Six Boys and Five Girls).
