In a covert security operation, authorities in Saudi Arabia have reportedly arrested the wife and mother of a high-profile Nigerian bandit leader, Ado Aliero. The duo was captured in the holy city of Medina, where they were allegedly living under assumed identities.
According to insider sources, the arrests were the result of an intelligence-led effort believed to target individuals connected to violent criminal networks in Nigeria’s troubled northern region. Ado Aliero is widely known for his role in orchestrating mass abductions and deadly raids across Zamfara State and other parts of the Northwest.
The Nigerian government is said to be in close contact with Saudi security agencies as investigations progress. Although the identities of the women have not been officially disclosed, they are believed to possess valuable information that could aid in tracking down Aliero and uncovering the financial operations behind his criminal enterprise.
