The Administrator of Ahoada West Local Government Area of Rivers state, Mr. Promise Jacob has felicitated with Rt. Hon. Chibudom Nwuche, on his recent appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the Chairman, South South Development Commission (SSDC).
Mr Jacob made the statement in an interview with our reporter in his office at Akinima, Headquarters of Ahoada West Local Government Area of Rivers state.
While describing Chibudom’s appointment as well deserved, Mr Jacob said that the appointment of Rt Hon Chibudom Nwuche is apt , coming in such a time when the people of the region are yearning for the development of the area.
He said,” This is indeed a significant milestone, not just in your carrier, but also for the enhancement and overall development of the South-South Region, no doubt your leadership comes at a critical and crucial moment for the agitation for advancement and development of our communities in the region.”Jacob summed up.
According to him, the appointment of Rt Hon Chibudom Nwuche Chair the South South Development Commission Board, is a good harvest of his labor for the creation of the Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC, when he was the Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives in 1999 to 2003.
His words,” Your unwavering commitment and dedication to fostering sustainable development in the South South region has always been evident, and your new responsibility will undoubtedly allow you to further implement innovative strategies and initiatives that would promote meaningful economic growth, social inclusion and environmental sustainability’, adding that the challenges faced in recent time by the region require visionary leadership, even as he expressed confidence in Rt. Hon. Chibudom Nwuche, as he possesses the neccessary qualities and intelligence to inspire, attract change and drive progress. ”
He used the opportunity to assure the brand new pathfinder Chairman of the South South Development Commission of the unwavering and unalloyed support of his administration as he embarks on the journey of development of the region.
