The President General of Ogbakor Etche, the apex socio-cultural organization of Etche ethnic nationality world wide, Dr. Silas Anyanwu (Esq) has unequivocally condemned the activities of herdsmen, organ harvesting as well as land grabbing in Etche ethnic nationality describing it as thrice evil that must be met with equal resistance.
Dr. Anyanwu who disclosed this during the group’s courtesy visit to Ndi Ishi Agwuru Etche at their different clans, maintained that Etche would not henceforth be taken for a ride.
He frowned at a situation where herdsmen despite destruction of crops which is the main stay of the people’s livelihood, also constituted themselves as security where they charged residence between three and six thousand naira respectively for them to access their farmland and assured the people of Ogbakor Etche’s resolve to tackle the menace.
According to him, it is dastardly for anybody to trade on a fellow human parts and particularly, in Etche ethnic nationality, describing it as an evil omen.
He posited that the people of Etche and particularly Ogbakor Etche frowns at it and would do everything within their power to stop the ugly thread.
