A prominent member of Rumuolumeni Community, in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers state, Chief Barr AZunda Idima Wosu has commended the efforts of the federal capital territory ( FCT) Chief Barr Nyesom Wike for the supreme court judgement last Friday february 28,2025.
Chief Idima made the commendation in an interview with our reporter in port Harcourt.
The Rumuolumeni legal luminary opined that with the supreme court ruling on the three sensitive matters before it, has settled all other litigations at the lower courts.
According to Chief Azunda, Rivers state will now be settled for governance and the development of the state.
He described the FCT Minister as a dogged fighter who continue to pursue the various cases and in various courts, pointing out that Wike’s determination in ensuring that justice prevails is because the whole matter was a constitutional matter.
He said, ” the supreme court ruling was constitutional, the panel of the supreme court judges looked at the issues critically and delivered their judgement,”Idima declared.
” Now look at the recent local government election, that was conducted illegally, the 4- man Rivers state House of Assembly and the local government federal allocation, all the matters were followed constitutionally. ”
I wish to use the medium to commend the apex court for the judgment, while urging Rivers people to continue to go about their normal businesses as there is no cause for alarm.
He expressed optimism that with the supreme court ruling on the Rivers cases involving various political factions has settled the feud and Rivers state Can now forge ahead, even as he enjoined Rivers people and Nigerians at large to rally round the FCT Minister in other to take Nigeria to a greater height.
