The Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area, Hon. Amb. Isreal Abosi has been honoured with an award of Excellence for outstanding performance within the 100 days in office.
The latest recognition is coming from the Nigeria Bar Association ( NBA) Isiokpo branch.
The award , according to the organizers was in recognition of the Chairman’s Judicial Infrastructural Development.
According to the legal association, the choice and recognition of Hon. Barr. Isreal Abosi for the honour was neither baised nor influenced, but was based on realities on ground that qualified him for the award based on his outstanding performance.
They said, ” this recognition was specifically for his remarkable work in renovating Elele Magistrate and Customary Courts as well as the renovation of Ubima Magistrate Court, all in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers state , done within the chairman’s four months in office.
According to Isiokpo branch of the Nigeria Bar Association, a Chairman Ikwerre Local Government Council who remembered to renovate the two dilapidated Magistrate Courts in the two Ikwerre Communities deserved to be recognized and honoured for the good work he has done in providing a condusive and comfortable environment for effective judicial practices and service delivery to the people of Ikwerre Local Government Area.
They use the opportunity to enjoin him to be more focused on Infrastructural Development of the area, pointing out that his good work so far is speaking volume of his readiness and preparedness to take Ikwerre Local Government Area to greater height.
In his response, Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area, Hon. Amb. Isreal Abosi thanked the Members of the Nigeria Bar Association, Isiokpo branch for finding him worthy for the award of Excellence.
Hon. Abosi who is also the Oshimini. 1 of Ikwerre land and Eze Omekwa- Ali 1 of IPO, in ikwerre local government area, said that his administration is people’s and community oriented, pointing out that every community would experience a positive touch of his administration.
He maintained that as a lawyer, he would always strive to do the right thing, even as he assured that Isiokpo branch of the Nigeria Bar Association that he would not let them down, coming from the legal background.
