The relative peace which the people of Emohua kingdom have enjoyed since the coronation of his Majesty Ohna Sergeant Chidi Awuse was yesterday, 29 -01 – 25 halted as those laying claim to the stool staged a protest in Emohua kingdom.
Recall that after the coronation of His Majesty, Ohna Sergeant Chidi Awuse DSSRS as the Nne – nwe Eli Emohua X111, a faction laying claim to the stool had approached the court claiming to be the rightful occupants of the stool.
However, while the matter is still in court , protest rocked Emohua shattering the relative peace in the kingdom.
In a statement by the press secretary to His Majesty Ohna Sergeant Chidi Awuse, the Paramount Ruler of Emohua Kingdom, he said
“Today merchants of crisis and violence have through financial inducement, taken advantage of the less fortunate circumstances of some individuals to stage a defamatory protest against the personality of Ohna Sergeant Chidi Awuse, DSSRS. ”
For the purpose of public awareness, these sponsored protests are not only products of falsehood and politically motivated plots, but also a part of a bigger plan to instigate crises and violence in Emohua Kingdom.
All by the same group of persons who had sponsored the rumor that His Majesty, The Wise King had died sometime last year while receiving medical treatment in London.
But to their greatest bewilderment, their heart desires and wishes ended in utter disappointment, when the Wise King returned to his people on the 25th of August 2024 with a rousing welcome.
Since his return on the 25th of August 2024, these set of individuals have remained silent. And nobody heard of any protest or allegations.
But on hearing that His Majesty has again traveled to London to conclude his medical treatment just a couple of days ago, these merchants of crisis have resurfaced to instigate chaos and unrest.
One would however, wonder the place and significance of these protests in a matter which they themselves had already taken to court.
Where they told that the absence of the Wise King would give them any advantage or opportunity to manipulate lies to become facts?
Is it possible that a sane person would take a matter to court, and while the matter is yet to be determined, begin to sponsor protest on the same matter he took to court?
What else is their target, if not to cause crises and create an environment that will enable them carry out their criminal activities.
In so many instances, the Wise King, has to his own detriment defied medical opinions to deny himself adequate rest and sleep because he bears the burden of a messenger and servant to the people of Emohua.
Sustaining the peace and stability witnessed in Emohua today, is not a task that can be achieved without selfless commitment and sacrifice.
No adult human being, among the eight communities of Emohua Kingdom can today deny or underestimate the impact of the existence and leadership of Ohna Sergeant Awuse.
This is a man who has sacrificed his time, energy and personal resources to practically transform the community and ensure that the peace and stability witnessed today is sustained.
The people of Emohua Kingdom and the government of Rivers State should be weary of these group of persons and advise them to purge their hearts of evil.”
The statement concluded by saying that no “amount of protest will bring them closer to whatever they intend to achieve”
